Yes, completely. All voice processing happens on your Mac. No internet required for transcription.
VoxChimp handles medical terms, drug names, and technical vocabulary well. It learns from context and improves over time.
No. Audio is processed in real-time and discarded immediately. Your transcription history is stored locally on your Mac only. Nothing is ever uploaded.
If you can type in it, VoxChimp works with it. It pastes text at your cursor position in any application—EMR systems, browsers, note apps, chat apps, anywhere.
Voice health provides wellness insights based on acoustic patterns. It can detect changes in your voice that correlate with fatigue or strain. It's a helpful awareness tool, not a medical diagnostic.
VoxChimp runs on macOS 13 (Ventura) or later, on both Intel and Apple Silicon Macs.
Speak in English, and VoxChimp transcribes and translates your words in one seamless step. The translated text appears at your cursor, ready to use. Supported languages include:
Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Chinese (Simplified), Japanese, Korean, Arabic, Russian, Hindi, Dutch, Polish, Turkish, Vietnamese, Thai, Indonesian, and Ukrainian.
Note: Translation requires macOS 15 (Sequoia) or later and uses Apple's on-device Translation framework. Language models download automatically on first use.
